At least 13 people injured in Russian morning strikes on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. PHOTOS (update)

Today, 20 August, Russian forces carried out drone and air strikes on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, resulting in casualties.

This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, according to Censor.NET.

Strike on Sloviansk

At 08:20, the enemy attacked Sloviansk with drones. A shop in a residential neighbourhood was hit, causing a fire.

Three people were injured as a result of the attack.

Attack on Kramatorsk

It is reported that seven people were injured in Kramatorsk.

Since 10:50, the Russians have struck the city nine times. Preliminary reports suggest that FAB-250 aerial bombs with UMPC modules were used. Hits have been recorded on a shop, a business premises and an infrastructure facility.

It is noted that all relevant emergency services are working at the scene.

"The Russians are once again striking cities in broad daylight – targeting shops, businesses and residential areas. It is dangerous to remain in the Donetsk region! Stay safe and evacuate to safer regions!" – emphasised the head of the Regional Military Administration.

Filashkin later reported that, as of 3:30 p.m., 10 civilians were known to have been injured in Kramatorsk.

Twenty-two apartment buildings, commercial properties, a library and critical infrastructure were damaged. Information regarding some of the impact sites and the full extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Rescuers continue to extinguish a fire at one of the sites. Municipal services are already working at the affected locations, clearing debris and dealing with the aftermath of the strikes.
