In Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, emergency and rescue operations have been completed at the site of the strike on the shopping centre.
This was reported by Censor.NET, citing the State Emergency Service press centre.
As noted, at the scene, rescue workers cleared around 5,000 square metres of the shopping centre’s collapsed structures and inspected 100 per cent of the site. In total, around 1,230 tonnes of building debris were removed.
Rescuers from the Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Odesa, Cherkasy, Kharkiv and Kirovohrad regions were deployed for search-and-rescue and other emergency operations.
Casualties of the enemy strike
As a result of the Russian attack, 16 people were killed and a further 136 were injured, including 26 children.
In total, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine deployed nearly 200 rescue workers and over 40 units of specialised and heavy engineering equipment to carry out emergency rescue and other urgent operations.
What led up to this?
As a reminder, on 21 August, Russian forces struck a shopping centre in Kryvyi Rih. Attack drones carried out the strike in two waves. Sixteen people were killed.
The number of casualties has risen to 140. Six of the injured are in a critical condition, including two children.
