On 2 September, Russian occupying forces attacked the National University of Food Technologies.
This was reported by the Minister of Education and Science, Andrii Butenko, according to Censor.NET.

"The university buildings have been damaged. None of the students or lecturers were injured. I would like to thank the management and staff of the educational institution for organising the teaching process whilst taking all security risks into account," the statement reads.
The minister noted that air raid alerts and the constant threat of shelling directly affect the organisation of teaching.
"The situation varies across different regions, so pupils and students are studying in person, remotely or in a blended format.
There cannot be a one-size-fits-all solution for the whole country. Local authorities, together with educational institutions, determine the optimal format for learning, based primarily on the local security situation," he concluded.
What led up to this?
- As reported, on 2 September, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with jet-powered drones. The aftermath is being documented in the Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
- Seven people are known to have been injured in the capital. Five of the injured have been hospitalised.
