Law enforcers have detained a judge of the Kyiv Economic Court as he was trying to receive an undue profit in the amount of $16,000 from a businessman.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Fishing for the most influential bribe-takers has started! The Prosecutor General's Office, Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and Security Service of Ukraine detained a judge of the Kyiv Economic Court while he was attempting to fraudulently receive $16,000 from a businessman for securing necessary decisions in his favor at a higher level in the Economic Court," he wrote.
