SBU foils terror attack planned by Russia's FSB. PHOTOS

The Security Service of Ukraine has prevented a terrorist act prepared by Russian special services.

To commit an act of terror, a recruited person arrived in Odesa to receive explosives sent by representatives of special services of the Russian Federation stationed in the unrecognized Transnistria.

SBU agents detained the courier at the Odesa bus station after receiving a package with an IED equivalent to 600 grams of TNT.

SBU reported earlier that in January 2017, FSB recruited a female resident of Ukraine's western city of Khmelnytskyi through Russian social media. For ideology reasons, she agreed to cooperate with Russia's special services.

According to the SBU, her curator is now on a "business trip" in temporarily occupied Luhansk, where he holds a "high post" in the so-called "LPR Ministry of State Security."
