President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had signed a decree to award 450 Ukrainian soldiers. In total, 45,038 defenders have received state awards since beginning of full-scale invasion.

According to Censor.NET, he said this during his traditional evening video address on 29 April 2023.

Zelensky said: "I have recently signed new decrees on awarding our defenders, our heroes. Almost 450 more soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: ground troops, paratroopers, Air Force, and terrorist defence. And more than 300 more from the National Guard, our police, the State Emergency Service, and border guards.

In total, 45,038 Ukrainians have been decorated with state awards during the full-scale war. This is a testament to the extraordinary daily heroism of our people. Everyone who is fighting for Ukraine, everyone who is working for our victory.

Glory to all those who are in combat for the sake of our country, on combat posts! Glory to all who train our soldiers! Glory to all those who treat and rehabilitate wounded, who restore normal life after Russian shelling and occupation, who bring our people back from Russian captivity.

Thank you to everyone in the world who helps us! Together we are bringing the verdict for the evil state closer. We are bringing our victory closer. Glory to Ukraine!"
