Evaders - like those who did not go to fight for UPR 100 years ago and then ate their own children in 1933 - 10th Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss". VIDEO
The 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" believes that the reason for many of Ukraine’s historical defeats was not only the external enemy, but also the inadequate behaviour of its own population.
The team published a video with a brief excursion into the events of a century ago, Censor.NET reports.
"During the war for independence, the UPR army consisted of about 100,000 Cossacks and officers. And this is not the 36 million people of Ukraine at that time. The army of independent Estonia at that time was also 100 thousand, but it was for 1 million Estonians. That is, in Estonia, 10% of the nation took up arms and stood up to defend their homeland and freedom. And in Ukraine - less than 0.3%," the brigade reminded.
"The Edelweiss calculated that if 10 percent of the population of Ukraine had stood up to defend it 100 years ago, it would have had an army of more than 3 million bayonets and sabers. And it could have defeated Soviet Russia, just as Estonia did.
"Today's evaders are like those who did not go to fight for the UPR 100 years ago, and then in 1933 ate their own children, starving to death," the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade said;
"Ukraine has no choice but to fight until victory in this war if we want to survive as a state and as a nation. Either we will win or we will disappear!" - Edelweiss concluded.
