During today's meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olaf Scholz agreed that "Germany will stand with Ukraine in the future regardless of what happens in global politics".

"Chancellor Scholz visited Ukraine today. We had a long talk with him - one of the longest bilateral meetings, a special format - for more than two and a half hours. We discussed all the topics that are important for our countries. The main thing is air defence, strengthening our defence of the sky. Germany is already a leader in this and in support in Europe in general. On the continent, it is number one in terms of assistance to Ukraine: almost 30 billion euros from Germany. This is defence support and support for our resilience. I would like to thank the Chancellor personally and the whole of Germany, the entire German people, who stand with us on such a fundamental basis. It is important for us in Ukraine that the level of German support does not decrease in the future. This will be the most important and timely signal to all our other partners. At the meeting with the Chancellor, we agreed that Germany will continue to stand by Ukraine in the right way, regardless of what happens in global politics - what changes in moods there may be," Zelenskyy said.
