Border guards of the Chernivtsi Detachment are actively using technical means of border protection, including wildlife camera trap, to stop offences at the state border.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the other day, at the site of the Krasnoilsk Border Guard Service Department, SBGS servicemen used a wildlife camera trap to record the movement of two unknown persons in the border area. The UAV operator located the border violators and sent a search team with a sniffer dog to the area.
Two men were reportedly detained 100 metres from the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The detainees were residents of Donetsk region aged 40 and 46, who confessed to intending to illegally enter Romania.
The SBGS added that the offenders were taken to the unit to draw up administrative materials under Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine".
