Zelenskyy and Irish Prime Minister Martin held meeting – media. VIDEO
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin on his way to the United States.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to RTE.
It is noted that the meeting took place at Shannon International Airport in Ireland.
Zelenskyy, who was greeted at the airport by Martin, said he was glad to be in Ireland and meet with the Prime Minister.
The President of Ukraine also thanked the Irish people for the support they provide to Ukrainian citizens who were forced to flee the war.
It is stated that Martin had previously canceled a planned visit to Belfast to attend a meeting with Mr. Zelenskyy.
"The President of Ukraine will make a short stop in Shannon on his way to the United States, where he is to meet with the US President," the newspaper writes.
At this meeting at Shannon Airport, Martin is expected to reaffirm Ireland's support for Ukraine.
Earlier this week, the Irish Prime Minister promised to increase financial humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
