Russian scouts captured: Assault of 115th Brigade in Lyman sector. VIDEO
Soldiers of the 115th Separate Mechanised Brigade conducted an assault in the Lyman sector, capturing a Russian position. The defenders managed to capture a group of Russian scouts.
This is stated in the story of "Ukrainian witness", Censor.NET reports.
The instructor with the call sign "Zhuk" said that he had been ordered to select two people for the assault. So they decided to draw lots.
"One was pulled out by Dionia, and the other by Ivanych. And he is 52 years old. And I said: "Well, Ivanych, where are you going to go?", he said. And so it happened that "Zhuk" went to the assault instead of the 52-year-old stormtrooper.
"Zhuk" completed his military service in 2005-2006, and from 2007 to 2010 he served in the Kyiv "Berkut". So in 2022, with the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the Armed Forces as an instructor. He explains his decision to go to war: "I wanted to pay tribute and respect to our grandfathers. My idol is Sirko. And I have always used his words: "Need changes the law". Today he is fighting Poles, and tomorrow he is with Poles because he is fighting Turks, and tomorrow he is with Turks because he is fighting Poles. So, if you are doing something for your country, then, as they say, all methods are good in war. If you want to defend your state, your nationality, then whatever. As a good friend of mine used to say, this is the kind of life we live, you can't bend, but you have to be flexible and adapt to win." "Zhuk" tells us about his everyday life as an instructor: "Some guys come to me now and say that they have not been taught anything. I say: "Guys, you had time. While the guys were dying, they gave you time to learn and develop yourself. You didn't do it, you just sat around. And then you come here and say, "No one taught us. You have to learn yourself."
"Zhuk" and "Dionia" joined the assault group and cleared the position in the first two. At the command and observation post, they were guided by thermal drones during the day to see everything clearly. Just like in the training, "Zhuk" took the lead. He cleared a loophole in the trench and gave the command for everyone to pull up to him. We started to move forward and saw the enemy, offered to surrender, because there was an order to take prisoners. But he reached for a grenade, so we had to eliminate him. Then we killed the second one and captured the position. A group arrived and secured the position. "It was quick, one or two steps. How long did it take? I don't know how long it took, but for us it was quick. It was just like a game," says "Zhuk".
A few days later, the Russians attempted to retake the position. The enemy group was walking with their radios switched off, and their command, they said, gave them an order to replace their own men at the position. The group did not know that the position was already under our control. They believed that the batteries in their radios had simply run out, and that's why the reinforcement group was not in touch. Or maybe they did know, says "Tsypa", the squad leader, because as it turned out later, there were three scouts. As soon as they approached our position, they were captured very quickly and quietly. "They were running faster than me, I could barely keep up with them," says "Tsypa". - "I told them to run along the path or I would kill them. They ran." "Liova", a deputy commander, said: "As it turned out, they were scouts. We have learnt a lot from them and now we are preparing a lot of things for them."
"Tsypa", the squad leader, is the youngest in the unit, he is 22 years old.
The video was filmed in late December. On 3 February 2025, Artem Tsymbaliuk (Tsypa) died during an enemy assault in the Lyman sector.
