40 people, including one child, evacuated from border of Sumy region. VIDEO
On Sunday, 23 March, the State Emergency Service evacuated residents of the Krasnopillia community in Sumy Oblast, which is under massive Russian shelling. Forty people were evacuated, including one child.
This was reported in a telegram by the State Emergency Service of Sumy region, Censor.NET informs.
"Despite all the difficulties, rescuers have evacuated 40 people, including one child, to safety today. Most of the evacuees are elderly people and people with reduced mobility," the statement said.
The rescuers added that to evacuate from settlements under intense shelling, armoured vehicles of the State Emergency Service are used.
On 22 March, the State Emergency Service evacuated 31 people, including three children, from the border settlements of Sumy Oblast during the day.
