Air defence attack in Kursk region: Unmanned aerial vehicle forces destroyed three ruscists’ "Buk" SAMs within 12 hours. VIDEO
Within 12 hours, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed three "Buk" missile systems of the Russian occupiers in Kursk region.
This was reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces, Censor.NET informs.
The operation was carried out by the soldiers of the 413th separate battalion of unmanned aerial vehicles "Reid" of the USF in cooperation with the consolidated detachment of unmanned aerial vehicles "Dzhmil" of the 78th SAAR.
"The pilots delivered precision strikes with FPV drones on the 'Buk-M2' launcher, which the enemy had disguised in a forest belt. This led to the detonation of the missiles and its destruction.
The battalion's operators also hit two 'Buk-M3' launchers, damaging their radars. The radar is a key element of the SAM, designed to "illuminate" air targets and guide missiles. Its destruction undermines the combat capabilities of the system," the statement said.
The USF reminded that the cost of the complete "Buk-M3" system is about $45 million.
