Operators of ground robotic systems (GRS) from the National Guard’s 2nd Corps Khartiia evacuated three wounded soldiers from a kill zone in the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by Censor.NET.

The evacuation took place at night. Initially, the plan was to extract one serviceman, but the team was later tasked with evacuating two more troops from the brigade.

That day, the ground-robotics team was preparing for logistics runs and a planned casualty evacuation, their main focus. An earlier attempt to rescue the same soldier had failed after an FPV drone attacked the GRS.

The operator with the call sign "Pingvin" completed the first mission and immediately launched the second.

"All you can do is get the guys to the evacuation point as quickly as possible. The first risk was enemy fire. The second was a link drop, the robot could have died in the middle of the field with our comrades onboard," he said.

By then, one of the wounded, aerial scout "Kokha," had spent six to seven days on the line; the other had been there roughly 12–15 days. That night, the four-man team moved out to link up with the GRS bringing water, food and ammo, when an enemy drone struck.

Both wounded were ultimately transported from a safe point to hospital care. One was in serious condition, but both are now out of danger.

Without the GRS, which arrived in time to evacuate the fighters and successfully reached a safe zone, the fate of the "seriously" wounded soldier could have been much worse, according to the military.
