Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy sector have led to power outages in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Chernihiv, and other regions. In total, the Russians have launched more than 1,500 strike drones, nearly 900 guided aerial bombs, and 46 missiles of various types at Ukraine this week.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Censor.NET.
"Since yesterday, all our services have been working to restore the supply of electricity, heat, and water to the regions after Russian strikes on the energy sector. I would like to thank everyone involved in the repair work. Last night, there were more strikes on our communities. There are casualties," the statement said.
Zelenskyy noted that as a result of enemy shelling, hundreds of thousands of families are left without electricity in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Russia wants to harm Ukrainians as much as possible

"Ukraine needs peace on decent terms, and we are ready to work as constructively as possible. These days will be filled with diplomacy. It is very important that it brings results. I am counting on the support of our partners. Thank you to everyone who is helping," Zelenskyy emphasised.
Shelling during the day
- Due to the Russian attack on the energy sector in the city of Artsyz, Odesa region, on 13 December, there may be no electricity for a week.
- Due to the consequences of Russian shelling in the Odesa region on 14 December, the train schedule has been temporarily changed. Passengers are asked to check their flights. In particular, four flights have been cancelled for today.
- On the evening of 13 December, a Russian drone hit a residential high-rise building in Sumy.
- Over the past day, Russian invaders have launched a massive attack on the Mykolaiv region. Critical and industrial infrastructure has been hit.
