Drone shot down occupying communications officer who was trying to install equipment on high-voltage power pole. VIDEO
Attempts by Russian invaders to restore stable communications after blocking Starlink terminals are leading to new losses among their narrow-profile specialists. According to Censor.NET, a Ukrainian UAV operator skilfully eliminated an enemy communications specialist during installation work.
The recorded footage shows the occupier climbing to the top of a high-voltage pole in an attempt to deploy an alternative network.
Why are the occupiers climbing to such heights?
-
Blocking Starlink: After the aggressor was unable to use Starlink terminals, Russian units experienced a critical shortage of high-speed communications.
-
"Wi-Fi bridges": To replace satellite internet, the Russians began to install repeaters and "Wi-Fi bridges" en masse at dominant heights.
-
Easy prey: Working on tall masts and towers makes communications personnel highly visible. They have no way to quickly hide from Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
Consequences of the strike: The precise hit by the FPV drone led to the instant fall of the occupier from a great height, along with valuable equipment. Thus, the enemy lost not only a scarce specialist, but also another communications node that was supposed to provide control over units in this section of the front.
"After Starlink was blocked, Russian communications specialists began to deploy Wi-Fi bridges and repeaters at high altitudes, becoming easy prey for Ukrainian drones," the author of the publication notes.
