Russia fired 1,550 drones, over 1,260 guided missiles and two rockets at Ukraine in a week, – Zelenskyy. VIDEO

Over the course of the week, Russian forces have attacked Ukraine using strike drones, guided aerial bombs, and missiles.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Censor.NET.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

"Over the past week, Russia has launched nearly 1,550 attack drones, over 1,260 guided aerial bombs and two missiles at Ukraine," the statement said.

Pressure on Russia is needed

Zelenskyy noted that during the same week, due to the easing of sanctions, Russia increased its sales of crude oil to fund the war.

"These profits give Russia a sense of impunity and the ability to continue the war. Therefore, the pressure must continue, and the sanctions must work," the president emphasised.

Russia’s "shadow fleet"

Zelenskyy added that Russia’s "shadow fleet" must not feel safe in European waters or any others.

Tankers funding the war effort can and must be stopped and blocked, not simply allowed to pass. I thank every leader who takes the necessary decisions. This is precisely what brings us closer to a just peace," the President concluded.
