Fuel prices in some regions of Russia have skyrocketed: "92 octane at 150 roubles – salaam aleikum. We’ll be switching to bikes soon.". VIDEO
The widespread fuel crisis in the Russian Federation, triggered by a shortage of petroleum products and a logistical collapse, has entered a phase of rapid price surges. According to complaints from Russian car owners, the cost of fuel in some regions has almost instantly doubled, whilst in Kaspiysk, Dagestan, the price of a litre of A-92 petrol has already reached a record 150 roubles.
According to Censor.NET, eyewitnesses have released a video showing price tags on the ceiling of a petrol station, noting that ordinary drivers are now literally having to ‘run on fumes’ whilst waiting for better times.
"Who thought petrol at 110 was expensive? 92 octane, 150, salaam aleikum. We’ll just have to run on fumes… What do you mean 150, lads? What are you on about? We’ll wait until flats and petrol get cheaper.... What do you think of these prices? It’s all right, I suppose. And this is no joke, this is Kaspiysk. Fuel prices... That’s how it is. Soon we’ll all be switching to bikes," the Russians lament.
