Aerial reconnaissance by 58th Brigade thwarted attempt by Russian infantry to infiltrate north of Kharkiv region. VIDEO

In the north of the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian military thwarted an attempt by an infantry group of Russian occupation forces to advance. The enemy’s advance was detected in time and halted by drone pilots from the 3rd Motorised Infantry Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi.

According to Censor.NET, the military have released footage of the elimination of the assault troops using FPV drones.

According to the unit, the Russian command had sent a single soldier ahead to conduct reconnaissance and scout a route for the main group, which was waiting in a woodland area. The soldier’s movements through the tall grass were detected by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance, after which he was targeted by a series of strike drones. After several attempts to manoeuvre, the Russian serviceman was killed by a direct hit from the third drone.

The next stage of the operation involved delivering precision fire against the remnants of the Russian group, which was hiding in a neighbouring copse.
