Social media and local media are reporting significant traffic disruption and queues stretching for kilometres at Ukraine’s border crossing points with Romania.

According to Censor.NET, the situation is being exacerbated by difficult weather conditions – people are forced to spend long periods in the open sun amid the abnormal summer heatwave.

"Huge queues at the border with Romania: people are constantly exposed to the extreme heat and are forced to spend the night there," local communities report on social media.
