The Russian support vessel "NEFRIT" has been hit at the port of Sochi.
The Ukrainian Navy reported this, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
The strike was carried out using an uncrewed surface vessel operated by the Ukrainian Navy.
"A powerful explosion and smoke were recorded near the vessel. NEFRIT is part of Russia’s maritime and energy infrastructure. It supported oil and gas operations, serviced offshore facilities, transported cargo and personnel, and conducted underwater engineering work.
Its activities directly supported the enemy’s war economy and financed its criminal aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.
The strike on the vessel dealt a blow to Russia’s logistics, specialised capabilities, and military-economic infrastructure, the Navy noted.
