Defense Forces destroyed over 4,600 air targets in August (updated). VIDEO
Throughout August 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than 4,600 aerial targets and neutralized more than 50,000 tactical-level UAVs.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
In August, Ukrainian defenders destroyed:
- 25 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 8 "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missile;
- 8 "Kalibr" cruise missiles;
- 21 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles;
- 4 "Iskander-K" cruise missiles;
- 5 "Onyx" anti-ship missiles;
- 101 S8000 "Banderole";
- 1,876 Shahed-131/136-type attack UAVs;
- 1,460 Shahed-238-type strike UAVs;
- 1,031 reconnaissance UAVs;
- 820 БпЛА "Lancet".
It is also noted that more than 50,000 tactical-level drones were neutralized over the course of the month.
The Air Force has flown more than 1,900 combat sorties
Throughout August, the Air Force conducted more than 1,900 flight sorties.
Of these:
- more than 1,400—for fighter air cover;
- about 300—for fire support and air support of ground forces.
