Last week, anti-corruption agencies showed good results.

The head of the Anti-Corruption Center of Ukraine Vitalii Shabunin writes about this on Facebook, Censor.NET informs.

"While Russia was running rampant, our anti-corruption agencies showed great results," he notes.

Next, Shabunin lists the main results for the past week.

Verdicts:

Higher Anti-Corruption Court sentenced Korniychuk and Bohdanov, officials of the Kharkiv Elektrovazhmash plant, as well as Yevdokymov, a beneficiary of the Czech firm Ksanko, to 4 years in prison. Yevdokymova, the director of the Czech firm and wife, received another 3.5 years. The court also imposed special confiscation of 217,306 euros.

The Supreme Court confirmed the sentence against the ex-driver of the railway enterprise Skoryk, who received 4 years in prison and must compensate UAH 8.8 million in damages, and also upheld the first prison sentence of the HACC, which sentenced the ex-deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council Methodius to 2.5 years in prison

Hanna Bilyk, ex-judge of the Brovary Court, will finally go to prison, she was finally sentenced to 6 years in prison by HACC in January of this year. The judge hid all year, but finally, she was found and detained.

Extradition:

Shevchenko, Hranovsky, Bakhmatiuk, and others - for a note.

SAPO and NABU obtained the extradition of a former employee of "Derzhinformyust", who is suspected of abuses during the purchase of the Trueconfserver program. This caused losses of UAH 6.5 million to the state-owned enterprise.

The suspect was wanted internationally for 5 years, but in May she was detained in Germany, and now her extradition has been agreed upon there.

Cases on people's deputies:

National Bureau of Investigation announced a search for People's Deputy from "Batkivshchyna" Mykhailo Volynets, who is suspected of lying in the declaration for 1.79 million UAH. Volynets wrote on Facebook that he is now allegedly in the hospital and will soon come to NABU himself.

HACC fined People's Deputy Shakhov for not appearing in court sessions. He is being tried for lying in the declaration for 88 million hryvnias.

Dubnevychiv CHP:

The HACC appeal arrested two persons involved in the case of the Dubnevichy CHP for 1.4 billion hryvnias. Accused Pavlyshyn and Oleksiuk tried to delay the consideration of the SAPO appeal to close the case and will now be sent to the pre-trial detention center if they do not pay UAH 744.3 thousand in bail.

Confiscation of Yanukovych's property:

The HACC started consideration of the case of confiscation of ex-president Yanukovych's assets. In particular, the Mezhyhiria residence and the Forester's House in Sukholuchcha can be returned to the state. We expect a decision next week.

Completed investigations:

regarding the director of the instrument-making plant from the Ukroboronprom system, who received a "kickback" of UAH 2.44 million, and also hid his wife's apartment in Bulgaria.

regarding the ex-deputy prosecutor of the Lviv region for embezzlement of 1.2 million hryvnias and abuse of office for half a million hryvnias.

regarding the lawyer who incited the assistant to hand over a bribe to the judge of the Odesa Court of Appeal. The judge's assistant also received suspicion, as he followed the offer and took 1.7 thousand dollars.

Other:

The appeal of NACC overturned the illegal closing of the case on the seizure of a $20 million loan from Oschadbank.

The NACC appointed the adviser of the ex-head of the Federal Security Service Nasirov to absentee custody for aiding in a corruption scheme with a bribe of UAH 722 million.

NABU and SAPO exposed the ex-director of the Zhytomyr Armored Plant and his deputy for the embezzlement of 20 engines for armored vehicles worth UAH 4.5 million.

NABU is investigating embezzlement in the development of the "Dzvin" troop management system, for which 600 million UAH were poured at one time.

"Well, let me remind that the competition for the position of Director of NABU is ongoing. There is a little more than a week left, so I urge all honest lawyers to apply for the competition. The Anti-Corruption Center promises to do everything to make the competition as transparent and honest as possible," adds Shabunin. All the details about this are by the link.
