European Parliament almost unanimously believes that Ukraine should be member of EU, - Metzola
The European Parliament almost unanimously, which rarely happens, believes that Ukraine should become a member of the EU.
This was stated by the head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Now the European Parliament is almost unanimous, this rarely happens, and thinks so - and it is necessary that Ukraine should be a member of the EU. In June, every prime minister, every president of the country said that Ukraine should become a member of the EU. This shows that politically it is possible to achieve things that seem impossible, if it is done correctly. And here the role of the European Parliament, in my opinion, plays an important role," she said.
Metsola noted that on March 1 of last year, when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the European Parliament and announced that Ukraine should become a member of the EU, everyone believed that the Ukrainian leader was in a hurry.
