The United States of America leaves Ukraine to decide on the configuration of the future victory, but is waiting for the establishment of a "just" and "sustainable" peace.

This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at the Munich Security Conference, Censor.NET reports with reference to "Euro Integration".

Speaking at a panel discussion with the participation of his Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba, he stated Washington's readiness for Kyiv to determine the contours of the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"We will support the decision about the future of Ukraine that the Ukrainians will make. But we all have a sincere interest in it being a just peace and a sustainable peace," said Blinken, after which he began to explain in detail what he meant by these terms.

According to him, "fair" means such a peaceful agreement that will comply with the principles of the UN Charter. At the same time, he considers any territorial advances of the aggressor to be incompatible with this approach. "It will fundamentally contradict the interests of any country if the aggressor can defend the (occupied) territory by force. Because in this case, every aggressor will conclude: if Russia can achieve it, then we can achieve it. This is the path to a world filled with conflicts", Blinken explained his categoricalness.

According to the United States and international law, Crimea is also Ukrainian territory that should not remain with the aggressor.

"A sustainable peace means one when we do everything possible so that Russia cannot simply repeat the same thing. In a year or in five. This means, in particular, that Ukraine is able to deter the aggressor, and if necessary, defend itself against aggression." , - added Anthony Blinken.

Dmytro Kuleba, who was sitting next to him, confirmed that Ukraine would accept only such a victory, which would mean the complete restoration of territorial integrity.
