Currently, Ukraine does not need F-16 fighters, - Biden
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, said that Ukraine "doesn’t need" American F-16 fighter jets.
He stated this in an interview with the ABC News TV channel, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"We are sending what our experienced military considers necessary now. We need tanks, artillery, air defense, HIMARS," the politician said.
At the same time, Biden emphasized that the US is giving Ukraine what it needs to ensure the possibility of success in the spring, summer, and early autumn.
When asked if this means that fighter jets will "never" be sent, the president replied that it is impossible to know exactly what the Ukrainian defense will need in the future.
"At the moment, in the opinion of our military, there are no sufficient grounds for providing the F16," the American leader added.
