Zaluzhny: Ukraine will liberate Mariupol already in 2023

Mariupol, temporarily occupied by the Russians, will be liberated this year.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said this in the film by journalist Dmytro Komarov about the year of the full-scale invasion, Censor.NET reports with reference to Liga.net.

According to him, on St. Nicholas Day, he had an event with the participation of children, where a boy asked him whether Ukraine would definitely return to the temporarily occupied Mariupol.

Zaluzhnyi replied that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will liberate Mariupol already in 2023.

He also said that human life is the cheapest thing in Russia.

"The losses of 15,000 in Afghanistan actually brought the USSR to its knees. Now the number of Russian losses is much higher. We have a different tactic and strategy. We do not have such opportunities, it makes no sense to spend a lot of ammunition to destroy our own infrastructure," the general said.
