ASTRA journalists spoke with Russian military officer Davyd Makarenko, who on March 4, 2022 was caught on video surveillance cameras in Bucha, Kyiv region.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the ASTRA telegram channel.
Journalists of "Suspilne" publication were able to find relevant personnel in their investigation. Journalists found out the circumstances of the shooting of three volunteer friends: Nastya Yalanska, Maksym Kuzmenko and Serhiy Ustimenko, who became victims of the Russian military in Bucha, on Kyiv-Myrotsky Street.
Davyd Makarenko confirmed that on March 4, 2022, he was the one caught on the video surveillance cameras of the store in Bucha. However, as the occupier himself claims, he allegedly did not kill civilians, did not see the volunteers and their car, because he was walking "on another street".
In March 2022, 23-year-old Davyd Makarenko was a contract worker in military unit 32515 in the Pskov region. On March 4, 2022, when he was in Bucha, Russian soldiers shot volunteers Maksym Kuzmenko, Anastasia Yalanska and Serhiy Ustimenko, as well as Volodymyr Asaulov, a resident of this street, on the city's Kyiv-Myrotsky Street.
"How do you know that I was? Yes, I was in the video. But how do you know that I shot people? These are indirect reasons that you are telling me now that we shot people. Do you have reasons?" - Makarenko is indignant in a conversation with a journalist.
After explaining that there is currently no evidence of his involvement in the shooting, and they are calling him to find out if he knows which of his colleagues could have done it, David starts a conversation about Donbas, "which has been bombed for 8 years."
