US is sending oil supertankers to Europe, - Bloomberg
Europe is going to import a record amount of American oil in March. For this, the US sends supertankers to it.
This is stated in a Bloomberg publication, Censor.NET reports.
Vessels carrying up to 1.84 million barrels per day are due to arrive from the US this month, according to the agency.
Journalists note that meanwhile, smaller vessels are becoming more expensive, as more of them are booked to transport Russian oil to Asia.
"The trade boom is a side effect of Russia's war against Ukraine and the sanctions that the West imposed on Moscow in response to full-scale aggression," Blomberg explains.
The material indicates that a total of 11 supertankers, known in the trade as Very Large Crude Carriers or VLCCs, and 16 Suezmax vessels are due to arrive in Europe from the US.
"These large vessels now carry about 60% of the crude oil on the route, compared to 37% a year earlier. Supertankers can carry about two million barrels of oil, and Suezmax - about a million," the agency added.
