Winter offensive of Russian Federation in Donbas failed, - British intelligence

The plans of the Russian command to seize Donbas during the winter offensive failed.
As reported by Censor.NET, this was reported by the intelligence of Great Britain.
They reminded that on January 11, 2023, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Gerasimov assumed personal command of the "special military operation" in Ukraine.
"Gerasimov's tenure in office is characterized by attempts to launch a general winter offensive with the aim of extending Russian control over the entire Donbas. After 80 days, it becomes increasingly obvious that this project has failed," the intelligence agency emphasized.
It is noted that in several directions of the front in Donbas, Russian troops achieved only minor successes at the cost of tens of thousands of victims.
"Having largely squandered his temporary advantage in personnel gained as a result of the autumn 'partial mobilization'. After ten years as Chief of the Russian General Staff, there is a real possibility that Gerasimov is pushing the limits of how long the Russian political leadership will tolerate failure." - summed up in British intelligence.
