Thousands of hectares of potentially mined areas remain in Ukraine - SES

Thousands more hectares of Ukrainian territory may be mined and need to be checked.
This was reported by Victoria Ruban, a spokeswoman for the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv region, during a telethon, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Suspilne.
"As for the demining of infrastructure facilities, roads and highways, all these areas have already been cleared. Some areas of fields remain uncleared. But a plan has already been created in the Kyiv region, which includes the territories of farms. Farmers are submitting their data on what is needed to fully inspect their territories. And at the moment, pyrotechnic units are working in Bucha, Vyshgorod and Brovary districts. The work is underway, but quite large areas still remain untested," Ruban said.
According to her, the work of the emergency services is still ongoing in other regions.
"Our pyrotechnic calculations are also working in the east of the country, providing assistance in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. It is very difficult to make forecasts, thousands of hectares remain untested," Ruban said.
She also added that local authorities should designate special places on the water bodies where people can relax and swim.
"Information about this will be brought to local residents, and they will be allowed to rest there. But in the areas where military operations took place, Vyshgorod and Bucha districts, we understand the danger that vacationers face on the water," noted Ruban.
