Defense forces achieved tactically significant successes in Bakhmut area, - ISW

On 7 July, Ukrainian Armed Forces units achieved tactically significant successes near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and continued counter-offensive operations in at least three other areas of the frontline.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to ISW data.

As noted, geolocation footage published on 6 July indicated that the Ukrainian military had achieved tactically significant success in the area of Yahidne (2 km north of Bakhmut). The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops conducted offensive operations north and south of Bakhmut and continue to counter-attack in the south of Zaporizhzhia region and along the administrative border between Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

"The Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had regained control of previously unidentified positions in the Bakhmut area," ISW reminds.

Ukrainian General Staff spokesman Andrii Kovalev added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also achieved partial success near Klishchiivka (7 km southwest of Bakhmut). The Russian Ministry of Defence and other Russian sources claimed that Ukrainian forces were conducting offensive operations in the direction of Kreminna, Luhansk region, along the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.
