Agreements on security guarantees will not replace Ukraine’s membership in NATO, - Sunak

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak agreed that the mentioned agreements on security guarantees for Ukraine at the summit in Vilnius will not replace its membership in NATO.
This is stated in the statement released by the office of the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak after his meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Censor.NET informs.
As noted, Sunak welcomed the cancellation of the MAP for Ukraine, which opens the way to NATO membership in the future.
"The Prime Minister and the President agreed on the importance of the security agreements that will be announced this afternoon at the G7 meeting. According to the Prime Minister, they mark a new high point in the support of the international community and will give Ukraine an even greater level of endurance in the fight against Russian aggression. Both leaders agreed that these agreements will not replace NATO membership, and expressed hope for the fastest possible development of a new security framework," the press service said.
