Ukraine must resolve issue of exhumation of victims of Volyn tragedy - Polish Foreign Ministry

Ukraine must resolve the issue of exhumation of the victims of the Volyn tragedy. Without resolving this issue, Ukraine cannot dream of joining the EU.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pawel Jablonski.
Answering a question about the exhumation of Polish victims of the Volyn tragedy from the recently discovered grave in the village of Puzhnyky in Ternopil region, Jablonski said that the Polish side would work to ensure that this happens as soon as possible.
"I have always said this and I will say it again: in our opinion, without resolving this issue - and many Ukrainians are already aware of this - Ukraine cannot dream of joining the EU," Jablonski said.
Asked whether this is a condition for Poland's support for Ukraine's EU membership, the Polish diplomat said that "it is not about conditions, but about reality".
"If we want to be in the same community with a country with which we have a serious dispute, it must be resolved, otherwise it will be difficult to cooperate," Jablonski said.
