Romania continues to find debris from drones after Russian attack on Ukraine - Defense Ministry

On Wednesday, July 31, experts from the Romanian Ministry of National Defense found fragments of a drone in another village near the border with Ukraine.
This is stated in a statement by the Romanian defense ministry, Censor.NET reports.
This time, UAV fragments were found in the Tulcea district, near the village of Ceatalchioi.
"Standard operating procedures for such situations have been introduced," the Romanian Defense Ministry said.
The ministry noted that the wreckage of the drones was found outside of populated areas, and no damage to people or infrastructure was recorded.
The Romanian Defense Ministry also condemned Russia's attacks on Ukrainian civilian objects and infrastructure.
"We reiterate our strong signal of condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation against Ukrainian civilian objects and infrastructure, which are unjustified and seriously contradict international law," the ministry said.
"Shaheds" in Romania
To recap, the Romanian military near the town of Plaura, opposite Izmail, found probable fragments of three attack drones that crossed the country's border during the attack on the night of July 25.
Romanian Foreign Minister Odobescu condemned these actions by Russia.
In the wake of the Russian drone fragments found in Romania, NATO said it had no information about a "deliberate attack" on the Alliance's territory.
Earlier, the Romanian Ministry of Defense denied the information spread on social media that Romanian Gepard anti-aircraft guns had shot down Russian Shahed drones.
In addition, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu later said that Romania does not have the ability to shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine because it "does not have permission to do so."
