Poland has provided Ukraine with more tanks than US, Germany, France and Britain together - Sikorski

Poland is an ally of Ukraine and has provided significant assistance in countering Russian aggression.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski, Censor.NET reports with reference to Radio Liberty.
When asked whether Poland and Ukraine are still close allies, the minister answered in the affirmative and recalled the amount of assistance his country has provided to Ukraine: "In terms of GDP, if you count military, humanitarian, financial, economic and refugee aid, Poland has done more for Ukraine than any other country. Let me remind you that we have provided more tanks than the US, Germany, France and the UK combined. I was personally at the frontline near Bakhmut last year, and Ukrainians were delighted with our 'Krab' howitzers, a large number of which we have donated. So we should be proud of our solidarity with Ukraine, but not everything is possible."
Sikorski also commented on Zelenskyy' s public accusations that Poland is not transferring MIGs to Ukraine. "What our army needs, our air force, to fully protect our airspace, unfortunately, has not been resolved, so we cannot agree to this request from Ukraine," Sikorski said, adding that this issue is on the agenda of negotiations with NATO.
The Polish foreign minister also spoke about the possibility of shooting down Russian missiles over western Ukraine, which he is a supporter of but which is a cause for concern among some NATO members: "We have Russian missiles that violate our airspace and hit Lviv. We also have drones that fly into Lithuania and Romania, and we have Russian drones that Belarusians shoot down over their territory before they reach Poland. What is this discussion about? Where does the right to self-defence begin and where does it end? Do we have the right to shoot down such a missile only when it is already over our territory? Then there is no doubt about it. Only then can what happened in Przywodow happen, i.e. the fragments of such a missile can cause damage, injure or kill someone. Or at the request of the Ukrainians, should this be done before the missile enters Polish airspace? Of course, we can have different visions here, and this is a matter for agreement and discussion among our allies."
According to Sikorsky, there will be a ministerial meeting at the NATO level next week, and this issue may be considered.
