140 combat engagements took place in frontline over last day, 50 of them in Kurakhove direction - General Staff
Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the onslaught of the occupation forces. The situation in the Kurakhove direction remains tense, with the enemy concentrating its main offensive efforts there. In addition, the occupiers are actively attacking at the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions. So far, 140 combat engagements have taken place.

Russian shelling of Ukraine
Today, the terrorist state carried out 55 air strikes, dropping 87 GABs. In addition, the invaders used 687 kamikaze drones and fired over 3,600 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
The situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian terrorists stormed the positions of our troops three times near Vovchansk.
The enemy attacked our positions twelve times in the Kupiansk direction. Near Petropavlivka, Kruhliakivka, Kindrashivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova, Ukrainian Defense Forces units repelled all enemy attacks.
Hostilities in the East
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian troops 17 times in the areas of Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Katerynivka, Terny, Torske, Serebrianka, Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled one attack in the vicinity of Pereizne. The enemy launched an air strike in the area of Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled six attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Stupochky and Bila Hora. Another attack is underway.
In the Toretsk direction, our troops repelled four enemy attacks in the area of Toretsk, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation. Two more battles are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the aggressor attacked our positions 23 times over the past day, in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Sukhyi Yar and Selydove, our defenders repelled all the assault actions of the occupation forces.
According to the available information, the occupiers' losses in the direction amounted to 357 people killed and wounded, a mortar, five armored combat vehicles, a tank, seven vehicles were destroyed, a cannon, a tank, two cars and two armored combat vehicles were damaged.
The situation is the most intense in the Kurakhove direction, where the invaders have made 50 attempts to advance so far. Most of the fighting is taking place near Illinka, Novoselidivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Dalne and Katerynivka. The enemy also carried out air strikes in the areas of Kurakhove, Dalne and Antonivka.
The situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, the aggressor stormed the front line of our defense five times today in the area of Trudove, Rozlyv and Sukhi Yaly. The enemy actively used aviation in the areas of Novopil, Temyrivka, Novodarivka and Velyka Novosilka.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched air strikes with GABs in the areas of Zaporizhzhia, Mala Tokmachka, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka, Stepnohirsk, dropping nine air bombs.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian units.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct operations in the Kursk sector. Today, Russian aviation conducted 18 air strikes in the Kursk region using 27 GABs.
Today, we would like to recognize the soldiers of the 128th Zakarpattia Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, the 126th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade "Sicheslav", the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, and the 14th Ivan Bohun Operational Brigade for their effective combat work.
