As part of operation Interflex, UK has already trained 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen

Training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the UK

The Interflex training mission continues in the UK. More than 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already undergone training.

As Censor.NET informs, the UK Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter

"Kosovo, Romania and Estonia have become the latest countries to join this global effort, uniting for freedom and resilience," the British military said.

They added that 50,000 Ukrainian recruits have been trained and improved their skills and readiness as part of the Interflex training mission.

Interflex training mission

A training program for the Ukrainian military in accordance with the standards of the Royal United Kingdom Armed Forces. The program is organized by the United Kingdom in cooperation with the countries participating in the Joint Expeditionary Force and other allies. The training is funded by the United Kingdom as part of its overall support for Ukraine, which reached £4 billion (€4.6 billion) as of April 2023.

Interflex training began in the spring of 2022.

The program is aimed at Ukrainian recruits with little or no military experience and is organized according to the standards of the UK Armed Forces infantry training, which has been compressed in time to maximize the number of participants and the speed of training.

The Interflex training includes military medics and engineers, helicopter crews, and search and rescue missions.

The training is focused on basic areas. The first area is basic general military training for recruits, which lasts 35 days. Then the soldiers are sent to combat brigades, some of whom continue more specialized training.

The second area is the professional training of military personnel to use foreign equipment and weapons, such as tanks, artillery systems, ADSs, IFVs, APCs, and high-precision multiple launch rocket systems. This area also includes training of other specialists, such as combat medics, sappers, snipers, and operators of anti-tank systems.

The duration of such training depends on the complexity of the weapon.

The third area of training for the Ukrainian military abroad is the training of modern commanders and tactical instructors. The fourth is the collective training of units of different levels and headquarters for effective command and control, primarily for offensives and assaults.
