Austria allocates 10 million euros in aid to Ukraine. Half of these funds will be used to restore Ukraine's energy sector.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine following a meeting between the head of the ministry, Andrii Sybiha, and Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, Censor.NET reports.

The meeting between the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Austria took place on Wednesday, November 20.

"Russia continues to escalate the war, in particular by involving North Korean troops. Moscow's aggressive actions go far beyond the battlefield, in particular through the use of energy as a weapon," Sybiha said.

He noted that the Kremlin's recent threats with nuclear weapons should be viewed as blackmail.

"Russia has already used this tactic many times to intimidate Ukraine, Europe and the world. We must remain firm and not give in to intimidation," the Ukrainian minister said.

Sybiha also expressed his gratitude to his Austrian counterpart Schallenberg for Austria's financial and humanitarian support for Ukraine.

In particular, Austria is ready to provide EUR 5 million in assistance to restore Ukraine's energy sector and EUR 3 million to help displaced persons. In addition, EUR 2 million will be allocated for the Grain from Ukraine program.

The parties also paid special attention to the development of trade and cooperation between Ukrainian and Austrian businesses.

"Ukraine will welcome the participation of Austrian companies in the recovery and reconstruction," added Sibiga.
