Almost 1 million Russian air targets have been detected by radio engineering troops since beginning of full-scale war, - Air Force

Almost a million enemy air targets have been detected by the radio engineering troops of the Ukrainian Air Force since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including 175,000 airplanes and 100,000 helicopters.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This branch of the military is called the eyes of the Air Force. Around the clock, RET servicemen detect and escort hundreds of enemy airplanes, helicopters, drones, bombs and missiles.

"When we write in our morning reports: "...last night radio engineering troops detected more than 150 air targets", you should know that this phrase hides the hard and dangerous work of radar units dispersed throughout Ukraine," the Air Force noted.

"They never go into hiding during enemy attacks, because their task is to detect the enemy target as soon as possible and provide this information to the command centers. And to do this, you have to be, as they say, on top of your game. Having received information about enemy targets, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units activate their equipment. The whole country receives a warning about the danger and the map gradually turns red...", the command said.

How many Russian targets have been detected?

Thus, since the beginning of the great war with Russia, radio engineering troops have detected and tracked more than 345,000 enemy targets: 175,000 airplanes, 100,000 helicopters, 57,000 UAVs, and more than 13,000 missiles of various types.

As a reminder, November 30 is the Day of the Radio Engineering Troops of the Air Force of Ukraine.
