Zelenskyy: AFU losses in war are much less than 80 thousand reported by US media

The number of Ukrainian soldiers killed during the full-scale war is much lower than the number reported by some American media.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Kyodo News, Censor.NET reports.
Someone recently, I think in the American press, reported that 80,000 Ukrainians died. But I want to tell you that no, it is less, much less," the head of state said.
At the same time, Zelenskyy refused to give exact figures on casualties.
The President noted that Ukraine does not have accurate information on the number of deaths in the temporarily occupied territories.
According to him, this applies to both civilians and the military, law enforcement officers and local authorities.
"And I don't know how many of them were killed, how many were lost, how many were tortured in captivity. That is why I am only talking about recording the military on our territory, which is controlled by us," Zelenskyy added.
As a reminder, the Economist recently estimated that at least 60-100 thousand soldiers were killed in the war in Ukraine, and up to 400 thousand were wounded.
