NATO sees no signs that Putin is preparing for any truce - Rutte

Rutte spoke before start of Alliance's ministerial meeting

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin uses Ukraine as a test site for experimental missiles and shows no signs of being interested in peace.

According to Censor.NET, citing "European Pravda", NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said this before the start of the Alliance's ministerial meeting.

"There are no signs of weakening of Russian aggression. On the contrary, Putin is escalating his rhetoric and reckless actions. He is using Ukraine as a test site for experimental missiles and has sent North Korean soldiers to fight this illegal war," he said.

Rutte emphasised his position that Putin is "not interested in peace". He also stressed that helping Ukraine defend itself is "NATO's duty".

"He thinks he can overcome Ukraine's resistance and determination, as well as ours. But he is wrong! That is why we must continue our unwavering support," Rutte concluded.

As a reminder, Rutte believes that it is worth focusing on military assistance to Ukraine before any peace talks.
