Russia has violated Budapest Memorandum. World leaders failed to stop Putin, - Zelenskyy

The Russian Federation has violated the Budapest Memorandum, and the countries that signed the agreement failed to stop the aggression of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with CBN, Censor.NET reports.
Russia violated the Budapest Memorandum, violated treaties, international law. And I believe that those world leaders who were the guarantors of the Budapest Memorandum turned out to be weak. This is what is outrageous. Not that Russia is a murderer, and it does not hide it. What is also outrageous is that there are other states, serious ones, with the same values that we share in Ukraine. But, unfortunately, those states could not stop Putin. They didn't want to be more serious about him and, if I may use the word, more tough. They did not put the murderer in his place. They did not condemn him. Because words alone are not enough to condemn a murderer. The murderer must be held accountable. Because he took what he did not give. He did not give life to our people, but took it from thousands," he said.
The President stressed that human life is the highest value, and international agreements, especially those that guarantee people's safety, cannot be taken lightly.
Zelenskyy recalled that in response to a global request, Ukraine had once renounced weapons, and its security was guaranteed not only by Russia but also by other states, including the United States.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine published an official position that Ukraine will not accept any alternatives, surrogates or substitutes for Ukraine's full membership in NATO.
