Criminal proceedings initiated on facts of commanders’ bullying of soldiers of 211th pontoon-bridge brigade - SBI
On 16 December 2024, the Ternopil Specialised Defence Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal investigation into the use of unstatutory measures of influence against subordinates of the command of the 211th Pontoon and Bridge Brigade. The investigation was entrusted to the State Bureau of Investigation.

SBI officers have launched a criminal investigation into the possible use of unstatutory measures of influence and violence against subordinates by officials of the 211th Pontoon and Bridge Brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The investigation will examine materials collected during official inspections of the brigade by the Main Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, as well as media and social media reports of bullying.
The SBI has not previously received any materials on this situation
"It should be noted that the SBI has not received any materials regarding this situation from either officials or the brigade's soldiers.
In addition, the State Bureau of Investigation calls on servicemen to immediately file official complaints with the Bureau if there are similar cases in their military units. This will allow not only to respond promptly to violations, but also to avoid similar cases in the future," the statement said.
Suspicion of involving subordinates in the construction of a house
In addition, the National Police is also investigating the brigade's leadership for involving subordinates in the construction of their house in Khmelnytskyi region instead of their service in the combat zone.
Today, he was served a notice of suspicion of abuse of office with grave consequences (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier, Censor.NET reported that the godson of the commander of the 211th Pontoon and Bridge Brigade, Vladyslav Pastukh, beat and abused the military who drank alcohol but did not pay him money for not drawing up reports of violations.
The General Staff reported that after the published material, the commander was suspended, and a commission of the Military Law Enforcement Service was sent to the military unit.
It was also noted that law enforcement officers are investigating the alleged involvement of the commander of the 211th Pontoon and Bridge Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the involvement of subordinate soldiers in the construction of a house in Khmelnytskyi region during their secondment to the combat zone.
