Trump promises EU to continue arms supplies to Ukraine after inauguration - FT

Donald Trump's team has told European officials that the new US president will demand that NATO member states increase defense spending to 5% of GDP, but plans to continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Financial Times.
According to three sources informed about the talks with Western officials, Trump intends to continue supplying American military weapons to Kyiv after his inauguration.
The newspaper writes that such a move would also help US allies, who have recently become deeply concerned that they will have to help Ukraine without Washington's support.
According to journalists, in early December, high-ranking British officials traveled to Washington to familiarize themselves with Trump's plans for Ukraine.
After the visit, they said that the US president-elect is against Ukraine's accession to NATO and wants the war to end. But at the same time, he believes that supplying Kyiv with weapons after a ceasefire will ensure "peace through strength."
As a reminder, the team of US President-elect Donald Trump believes that unlimited aid to Ukraine cannot be a strategy.
