For several days in a row, the occupiers have been carrying out more than 40 assaults a day in the Vremivka direction, but the Southern Defence Forces are actively defending themselves, so it is too early to talk about any encirclement.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was stated by the spokesman for the Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
"The enemy has been conducting more than 40 assault operations in the Vremivka direction for several days in a row: yesterday - 47, today - 44. They are trying to bypass Novosilka from the eastern flank and even from the north. At the same time, the Southern Defence Forces are aware of these intentions, are actively defending, taking stabilisation measures, so it is too early to talk about any encirclement," the spokesman said.
According to him, the enemy is suffering heavy losses, the Defence Forces eliminate about 200 occupiers and dozens of enemy vehicles every day.
"Yesterday 8 tanks and up to fifteen armoured vehicles were destroyed. Today - 4 tanks and up to 5 armoured combat vehicles. Our defenders are destroying their forces that are trying to break into our defence, and where possible, are conducting active combat operations to restore their positions," Voloshyn added.
Earlier, DeepState reported that Russian troops continue to cut the Vremivskyi ledge in Donetsk region, which threatens to encircle Ukrainian defenders in the area of Velyka Novosilka.
