’Servant of People’ Kunytskyi left Ukraine for US on ’week-long business trip’ from Rada - media

People's Deputy from the Servant of the People party Oleksandr Kunytskyi left Ukraine on September 23 on the basis of a parliamentary "week-long business trip" to the United States to "deepen Ukrainian-American interparliamentary cooperation." The fugitive has not returned since.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Schemes, citing sources in law enforcement and parliamentary circles.
It is noted that Kunytskyi arranged a business trip to the United States for September 21-28, 2024.
He did not appear at the meetings of the Verkhovna Rada
The last time he voted at plenary sessions was on September 17-20 this year, and he appeared in the Law Enforcement Committee in October via video conference.
As Oleksandr Korniienko, First Deputy Speaker of the Rada, explained to Schemes, the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat tried to contact the People's Deputy but "did not receive a clear answer."
At the request of journalists, the Verkhovna Rada did not provide information about this business trip, noting that "information on business trips of People's Deputies of Ukraine during the special period is included in the list of data constituting official information."
At the same time, the VR Secretariat emphasized that "no reimbursement of travel expenses from the state budget was made."
There was no suspicion from the SBI
"Schemes" noted that Kunytskyi received permission to travel abroad to the United States after law enforcement began investigating the circumstances of his other trip to Israel in the summer of 2023.
In a commentary to journalists, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said that "the very fact of the criminal case does not create any restrictions on the activities of People's Deputies."
At the same time, journalists' sources in law enforcement agencies reported that as part of this investigation, the SBI did not notify Kunytskyi of suspicion, choose a measure of restraint, or impose any other restrictions.
The journalists tried to get a comment from Kunitskiy's "servant", but neither he nor his assistant responded to calls and messages.
In October 2023, it was reported that the "servants of the people" Artem Dmytruk and Oleksandr Kunytskyi had beaten a man in the center of Kyiv. The People's Deputies stated that the man attacked them first while checking the call center.
It is also known that in September 2024, Kynytskyi beat a man in the center of Kyiv.
On November 5, the media reported that Kunytskyi had fled Ukraine on a business trip.
The People's Deputy left Ukraine in September 2024 and has not returned in three months.
It is known that Kunytskyi is currently living with his family in the United States.
