Trump hopes to stop Russia’s war against Ukraine in six months

US President-elect Donald Trump said he hopes to end Russia's war against Ukraine in six months.

He said this at a press conference at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Censor.NET reports.

According to Trump, the war "can get much worse than it is now."

"I hope in six months," Trump said in response to journalists' questions about the likely timing of the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

He added that Russia and Ukraine continue to lose many people.

"This is a war that should never have happened. I guarantee you, if I were president, this war would never have happened," the Republican reiterated.

Earlier, US President-elect Donald Trump accused the current administration of White House Chief of Staff Joe Biden of provoking a full-scale war in Ukraine.

Trump has repeatedly stated that if elected president, he could stop Russia's war against Ukraine in 1 day.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Donald Trump's statement to end the war in Ukraine in "24 hours." In his opinion, Ukraine would have to pay for it.

At the same time, Zelenskyy believes that Trump can be crucial in ending the war and can stop Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
