17-year-old boys will pay fine if they fail to register on time - "servant of people" Venislavskyi

Military registration of 17-year-olds: Venislavskyi talks about fines

Ukrainian young men living abroad will be able to register for military service. However, they may be brought to administrative responsibility if they violate the rules of military registration.

This was stated by a member of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, People's Deputy of the Servant of the People party Fedir Venislavskyi, Censor.NET reports citing Espresso.

According to him, the fine is 17 thousand hryvnias.

Venislavskyi explained that the provision on bringing violators to justice was excluded from the draft bill on basic military training.

But according to the norms of the Administrative Code, violations of the rules of military registration continue to apply. If the fact of an administrative violation is established, the person may be brought to administrative responsibility," the People's Deputy emphasized.

He reminded that those young men who turn 17 this year are obliged to register for military service during the first half of the year.

As a reminder, on January 9, the Verkhovna Rada passed bill No. 12076 on amendments to the Law "On Military Duty and Service" regarding medical records during the training of conscripts.
