Ukrainian defenders repel 25 invaders’ attacks in Kursk direction, one combat engagement is still ongoing - General Staff

The defense forces are directing their efforts to thwart the Russian invaders' offensive plans and deplete their combat potential. Since the beginning of the day, 144 combat clashes have taken place.

Russian shelling of Ukraine
The enemy conducted 38 air strikes, dropping 53 GABs (guided aerial bombs), 884 kamikaze strikes, and fired 4627 times at the positions of our troops.
The situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, our troops repelled two enemy attacks near Starytsia and Vovchansk. The enemy attacked Vovchanski Khutory with FFARs (free-flight aerial rockets).
The aggressor made eight attacks on our fortifications in the Kupiansk sector near Zapadne, Kucherivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove. Our defenders successfully repelled five attacks, and three combat engagements are ongoing.
Hostilities in the East
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders 17 times in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Borivska Andriivka, Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Makiivka, Hrekivka and Ivanivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing. The enemy attacked Zelenyi Hai with FFARs.
In the Siversk direction, our troops repelled one enemy attack near Bilohorivka. At the same time, the enemy dropped three GABs on Verkhnokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, all attacks have been repelled. Maiske was attacked with guided aerial bombs, and the enemy attacked with FFARs near Klishchiivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders 11 times today in the areas of Toretsk, Bila Hora and Shcherbynivka. In addition, three GABs were dropped on Kostiantynivka and Toretsk, and Druzhba was attacked by FFARs.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 37 assault and offensive actions during the day. Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Zvirove, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novovasylivka, Novoandriivka and Novoielyzavetivka. Seven combat engagements are still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, today our troops eliminated 197 and wounded 205 invaders in this direction; destroyed three tanks, four IFVs, two vehicles, in addition, significantly damaged one AFV, a tank and three invaders' vehicles.
The enemy is also intensifying its attacks in the Kurakhove direction. As of this time of day, there have been 23 combat engagements. Our troops repelled the attacks near Sribne, Andriivka, Petropavlivka, Kurakhove and Dachne. One combat engagement is currently ongoing.
The situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy tried to break through 11 times near Yantarne, Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv, with one firefight still ongoing. Temyrivka and Velyka Novosilka were attacked by GABs.
The enemy did not conduct any active operations in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy tried twice to push the Defense Forces in the area of Kozatskyi and Zabych islands without success. The enemy dropped four GABs on Kherson.
Kursk direction
In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 invaders' attacks, and one combat engagement is still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 19 air strikes, using 31 GABs, and fired 294 artillery rounds, including 11 from multiple launch rocket systems.
There were no significant changes in the situation in other directions.
Today, we would like to recognize the Ukrainian soldiers of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade, the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, the 14th Ivan Bohun Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade, and the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Oleksii Almazov, who are steadfastly holding back the advance of the enemy's superior forces.
